Noël Avery Caron, age 69, of Woodstock, Maryland passed away on Friday (December 2, 2016) at Howard County Hospital due to a sudden brain aneurism. She was the life-long partner of David Timothy ("Tim") Petrlik of Woodstock. Noël was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 29, 1947 and grew up in the Cockeysville area. She was one of the three children of late Dorothy and Julius Tischinger.
Noël had two children from her marriage to late Alfred Charles Caron, “Cary” (died an infant), and Sean – both named after her favorites, Cary Grant and Sean Connery. She was a faithful, kind, joyful and loving mother and grandmother (“Nana”), her only grandchild named after her, Mason Avery, was born in 2012.
Noël was an avid tennis player her entire life, having played competitive tennis for the University of Maryland. During her twenties and thirties her career focused on tennis – playing, coaching and judging. She then went into real estate, working with the Strutt Group at first, most recently with Long & Foster. She was a very successful agent for more than 30 years, having an ease and true talent connecting with people. Noël moved in the Woodstock area in 2009 with her partner Tim where she took up golf as well, and taught tennis camps for children at St. Timothy’s.
One of the first things anyone would note about her was her kindness. She showed boundless generosity to everyone she knew, and had a genuine interest in getting to know people – whether that be at a luncheon, or the grocery store! She was immensely thoughtful even in the littlest things, and always saw the good in people. She LOVED (caps necessary!) movies, enjoyed travelling, shopping, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She saw the world through a different lens, a happier one, and taught those around her how much more enjoyable life is when one is kind. Her generosity continues after falling asleep into the Lord, as she had chosen to be an organ donor. Christmas was Noël’s favorite time of the year, when she inevitably showered her family and loved ones with gifts. This year, her gift of life will forever change the lives of many.
Noël is survived by her life-partner Tim of Woodstock, MD; her son Sean, his wife Adina and grandson Mason of Odenton, MD; her sister Jay Holmes and her husband Clint Holmes of Hagerstown, MD; her brother Jack Tischinger and his wife Pam Tischinger of Aberdeen, MD. Her son Cary died before the age of 2.
