Patricia Ann Aldave, born January 6, 1937, to Narcissa A and John Otis Hally, in Washington, D.C. Wife of Alfredo B. Aldave. Mother of Lita, John, Maria, Roberto, Alfie, and Cecilia.
Pat, known as Patsy to her family, was the oldest of five siblings — her twin brother Mike, her sisters Margaret and Kathy, and youngest brother Tony. She attended grade school and high school at St. Anthony School in Washington, D.C. She then went on to attend St. Agnes Nursing School in Baltimore, MD.
Pat was devoted to her family and was very involved in her children and grandchildren lives. She loved doing volunteer work, donating her time to such places as her children’s schools, the gift shop at St Agnes Hospital, and Catonsville Senior Center. You could often find her at her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, school plays, concerts, and other various school functions. She and her husband were lifelong parishioners at St. Agnes Parish, where all of her children and many of her grandchildren attended school.
She had two main hobbies, sewing and genealogy. She sewed many clothes, prom dresses, and holiday outfits, as well as Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren. She also loved to bake cookies and do crafts with her grandchildren. She was very interested in Genealogy and spent time researching her family tree, discovering many interesting characters along the way. She compiled books of information about her many ancestors.
While a nursing student at St Agnes Hospital, she caught the eye of a dashing, handsome, Peruvian surgical resident. They fell in love and were married in 1959 and proceeded to have six wonderful children. They shared almost 58 years together. After becoming empty nesters, they enjoyed traveling all over the world, visiting places like Alaska, Greece, Egypt, and the Galapagos Islands. They also made frequent trips to Peru to visit with family.
Pat is survived by her husband, Alfredo; her children and spouses Lita & Robert Kearney, John & Jody Aldave, Maria Aldave, Roberto & Missy Aldave, Alfie & Jeanne Aldave, and Cecilia & Jay Booth; her siblings Mike Hally, Margaret Neitzey, Kathy [Tom] Conlon, and Tony Hally; her 20 grandchildren — Jackie, Ryan and Sean Kearney; Katrina [Mike] Jones, David Guldan, Jack, Hally and Becca Aldave; Maddy, Paige and Andie Aldave; Lucia, Angelina, Elena, Keela, Alfie Jr, and Lorenzo Aldave; and Tory, Trey and Ella Booth — and one great-grandchild, Delaney Jones. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
