Richard C. O'Connell, Jr

Richard C. O’Connell Jr., 89, an artist and Professor Emeritus at Harford Community College in Bel Air, Maryland where he taught Fine Arts, died October 7, 2020.  Mr. O’Connell was a past President of the Maryland Chapter of the Artist Equity Association. He was a Marine who fought in Korea, and he spent his retirement years living on a sailboat in the Baltimore harbor. He is survived by two daughters; Michele O’Connell of Virginia, and Martha Welch of Florida, one grandson, Christopher Welch, and one sister, Mary Ita O’Connell of Maine. A memorial service will be held at a later date
