Gardenghi Sr., Robert Augustine “Bob”-85, of Catonsville, MD passed away Friday, July 03, 2015 at University of Maryland Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Landisville, NJ to the late Calisto and Maria (Martinelli) and graduated from Sacred Heart High School Class of 1948. Bob served in the US Army Signal Corps 1951-1953 during the Korean War. He attended the US Army radio and radar repair school in Ft. Monmouth, NJ and was then assigned to occupation troops in Germany and worked as a radio repairman. He attended Drexel University and received his Electrical Engineering degree in 1960. He then obtained a Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University. He worked for Westinghouse in Baltimore, retiring after 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Polly nee Alt. Devoted father of Mary Margaret Lambertson (John), Anne Luco (Scott), Robert Jr., Joseph (Sarah) and Elizabeth Zanfardino(Kevin). Loving brother of Allen (Angela).  Survived by eighteen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday, July 7 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00pm at Candle Light Funeral Home by Craig Witzke 1835 Frederick Rd, Catonsville, Maryland. The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 8 at 10:30 AM at St. Mark Church 30 Melvin Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Mark’s Church or St. Mark’s School.
