Robert Edward Hoffman

Robert “Bobby” Edward Hoffman, 41, of Ellicott City, Maryland, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at his home.

Robert was born June 12, 1974 in Bethesda, Maryland to Roger and Beth (Rumerman) Hoffman.  He graduated from Howard High School in 1992 and from the University of Maryland Baltimore College in 1996.  Robert was employed by the Columbia Association and was one of the leading tennis professionals in the area. He enjoyed his work the friendships shared with all his clients.  He was an avid sports fan.  He spent most of his free time cheering on his children or beloved sports teams.

Robert is survived by his son, Kyle Zachary Hoffman (15) and daughter Kaleigh Rebecca Hoffman (14); his mother Beth Hoffman; his brother Evan Hoffman and his wife Meghan Murphy; his nephew Dylan Hoffman; cherished companion Molly Caroland; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents.

A private memorial service will be held at Candle Light Funeral Home.  A public celebration of Robert’s life will be held as well. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s name can be made to the Colon Cancer Alliance.
