Robert Pirnat Profile Photo

Robert Pirnat was born on August 17, 1943 to Paul and Eleanor Pirnat in Brooklyn, New York. His early years were spent in the city and he moved to the rural town of Middleburgh, NY when he was 11. He was captain of the varsity basketball team and had wonderful memories of his friends and his experiences there! He graduated from high school in 1961 and then attended St. John’s University, studying pharmacy. When he got the chicken pox at age 21, it was severe enough that he was forced to drop out of school. He was drafted into the Navy during the Vietnam War and served in missile control on the USS America, an aircraft carrier.

After the war, using his training in electronics from the Navy, he began working for Eastman Kodak. He was promoted and moved to Maryland in 1978. Shortly after arriving, he met Linda Dixon, and they were married in 1980. In 1984, their daughter, Jennifer, was born. After 21 years, he left Eastman Kodak and began working for Johnson & Johnson as a district manager in Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. He retired in 2006.

He has remained living in Ellicott City and was blessed to see his daughter, Jennifer, marry Dustin Ruberto in 2014 and to see his grandson, Jake, born in 2015.

Bob loved to go golfing with his buddies, laugh, tell old stories, and spend time with his family.  He will be remembered for his strength and humor and will be missed by all.
