Stephen R. Boehk

Stephen Ralph Boehk, 64, passed away on July 8, 2016, at his home in Catonsville. Steve was born in Towson to Karl and Carmela Boehk on October 27, 1951, and he graduated from Calvert Hall College in 1969. In 1973, he obtained a degree in Air Traffic Control, but his interest in computers led to a career in information systems for Ascension Health for forty-three years.

Steve cherished time spent with his family and friends and found ways to get involved in their lives and projects, volunteering at his daughters’ schools (Saint Mark, Lamb of God, Mount de Sales), serving as “camp dad” in Western NY, and sharing his love in countless other ways. He bore a special closeness to the Heart of Jesus, dedicating an hour to adoration of the Blessed Sacrament every Friday night for fifteen years. During his struggle with cancer, he never lost his trust in Jesus, his concern for others, or his sense of humor.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife Marian, and his daughters Sara, Jessica and her husband Brian, Laura and her husband Coert, and Anna, as well his brothers Michael, Anthony, and Christopher, his father Karl, and his grand-daughter Daniella. He also leaves behind a community of friends and loved ones, and his cat Asha.
