Susan “Sue” P. Clark, 73, passed away on July 2, 2017 at the Season’s Hospice Center in Randallstown, Maryland. Born February 23, 1944 in New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mercedes Metz Cummins. Susan was raised in Maryland and graduated from Towson High School in 1962. She then attended the University of Miami graduating in 1966 with her bachelor of science as a registered nurse. Upon graduation, she went to work as a nurse in various hospitals as they travelled to the various locations she and Guinn were sent by the United States Navy. In 1973, they settled in Catonsville, MD.
Susan took a pause from her nursing duties to raise her two sons. As they became older, she worked for the Hecht company prior to returning to nursing at The Pediatric Center where she worked until she retired. She was active in the school’s PTA and could often be found helping with class parties for Tom and Barry’s classes. She was involved in their neighborhood serving as president of the Heritage Community Association for several years. While retired, Sue enjoyed playing golf, cards and dominos as a member of Rolling Road Golf Club. She was the president of the 18 hole ladies group at Rolling Road. One of her favorite activities when she retired was spending time with her granddaughters and could often be seen holding them when they were babies.
Susan was preceded in death two years ago by her husband of 48 years, Guinn. She is survived by her two sons and their wives: Thomas & Tanya and Barry & Helen Clark. Susan was also the devoted and beloved grandmother of her seven granddaughters: Hannah, Lauren, Olivia, Stella, Frances, Charlotte, and Margaret Clark. In addition, Sue’s memories live in the hearts of her many friends that supported her and shared good times with her.
