Teresa Ann Urso was born on July 20, 1938, in New York City, New York to Rose Williams Urso and Frank Urso.  She passed away on January 26, 2016 after a brave and tenacious fight with lung cancer. She had one sibling, Judith Ann Green who resided in Beer and Exeter England. Judith successfully brought back the art of creating Devon Bone Lace (Honiton Lace). She was also one of the Royal Lace makers for Princess Diana's wedding gown and last but not least, created a series of nursery characters for Prince William!

Terry is survived by her brother in-law, Timothy Green of Exeter England and niece Cathleen Green of Portland Oregon.

Terry earned a B.A. from Elmira College, Elmira, NY, (Spanish language and literature). She attended on a 100% scholarship as a result of her academic achievements. She also earned an M.A. from University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI (Spanish language and literature) and a Doctorate from Catholic University, Washington, DC in Comparative Literature (Spanish, English and Italian literature plus literary theory and criticism). She served on the Board of Directors at Elmira College.

Terry worked for a total of 52 years. She was employed as a faculty member at the University of Vermont, Burlington, VT teaching elementary and intermediate level courses in Spanish language and literature. She then worked as a faculty member at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA teaching elementary and intermediate level courses in Spanish language and literature. Later she served as a faculty member at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA.

Terry later worked as a government contractor. She developed training materials to instruct TRIDENT submarine crew members in the use of on-board logistic technical data (engineering drawings and technical manuals).  The materials were used successfully for many years.  She was also a task leader in the preparation of a video for use in training Navy acquisition managers in Quality Assurance as applied to the acquisition of Navy technical manuals. She was then employed by Earth Resources Technologies, EG&G and Raytheon Information Technology and Scientific Services. Lastly, she worked as an educator, team leader and in an administrative capacity for NAVSEA.
Not bad for a girl raised in the Bronx!

Terry was an alumnus of Global Awaking, an organization dedicated to teaching and empowering the church worldwide. She completed many mission trips to Spanish speaking countries. Her last mission trip was April of 2014 as part of a Global School practicum trip to Costa Rica. Terry was a great asset as a translator and prayer warrior for the teams.

Last but not least, Terry was a hardworking and dedicated member of her church whom everyone loved. She loved the lost, the broken and the needy. She loved her church and all of God's people. But most of all, she loved her Lord!
