On January 4, 2025, at the age of 88, Thomas Robert Hahn passed away at home after a brief illness.

Born December 31, 1936 in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Emil and Leokadia (née Schmidt) Hahn, Tom was the youngest of the six siblings. Daniel Hahn, Emil "Dutch" Hahn, Esther Klein, Martha Schrecengost and Lydia Reisig who all predeceased him.

Tom was raised in Baltimore where he attended Baltimore City public schools, and followed in his brother's footsteps to Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. His education led him to BGE, where he retired after 37 years. During that time he acquired close friends and many memorable stories, which he enjoyed telling throughout his years.

Tom was married to his wife Joann for 60 plus years, but they knew each other from a young age. Meeting through mutual friends in the neighborhood, they developed a friendship before eventually becoming a couple. Together they moved to Catonsville where they raised their two children, Tammy and Jeffrey. They remained residents of Catonsville for over 50 years until they moved to Ellicott City, Maryland almost five years ago.

Tom was a natural athlete and a talented golfer. Golf led him to meeting people, some becoming lifelong friends, traveling together on many outings, Eastern Shore golf courses, Myrtle Beach and their yearly trip to Shenvalee Golf Resort. He was able to visit Pebble Beach and St. Andrews. When he was no longer playing, the TV was always on the golf channel or the current tournament.

Tom's love of travel did not stop at golf. He and his wife Joann enjoyed traveling with their family and friends visiting many places in the United States and countries all over the world. Tom was especially fond of the trips that included his children. Wherever he traveled, people gravitated towards him due to his relaxed manner and sense of humor. Tom was easy to talk to and an active listener. He always remembered the details people shared with him in conversation and had an engaging story, a funny joke, or a quick witty remark at hand.

Tom was an avid fan of all Maryland sports. He celebrated (and suffered) as a Baltimore Orioles baseball fan, and he was a season ticket holder for the Baltimore Colts football team eventually coming around to rooting for the Baltimore Ravens. He passed this love of sports along to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who frequently gather to watch the games together.

Tom will be missed by all who loved him and remembered fondly.

He is survived by his devoted wife Joann (McIntee) Hahn as well as his loving children, Tammy Pedrick (Steve) and Jeffrey Hahn (Rebecca). He was a cherished grandfather to Gregory Pedrick (Cara), Allison Sapp (Jim), Sean Pedrick (Jessica), Ari Hahn, Lily Hahn and an adored great-grandfather to Winnie Sapp, Bethany Pedrick, Hank Sapp, Maeve Pedrick, Isabelle Pedrick and Emmie Pedrick. His loss will be felt by many other caring family and friends
