Thomas J. O'Connell

Thomas J. O’Connell, age 77, suddenly passed away on January 29th, 2021. Thomas was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Jack E. O’Connell & the late Madeline O’Connell (nee Ernst). He is the beloved husband of Constance O’Connell; loving father of Elizabeth Kerby & her husband Lewis, Colleen Rahe & her husband Matthew, Kathleen Noonan & her husband James, John O’Connell & his significant other Erin Fanelli; cherished grandfather of Claire Kerby, McKellan Kerby, Morgan Rahe, & Michael Noonan. He was also survived by his sister Elizabeth O'Connell.

Tom was proud of his Army career, his work in the States Attorney's Office, being Legal Counsel for Lodge 4 FOP and his private law practice. His hobbies included growing tropical fish especially Angelfish, growing African Violets and completing Jigsaw Puzzles. But his greatest love was watching the grandchildren play.

Family & friends may gather at Candlelight Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Rd., Catonsville, MD 21228 for a public visitation on Wednesday, February 3rd from 5:00-7:00PM. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mark Church, 30 Melvin Ave., Catonsville, MD 21228 on Thursday, February 4th at 10:00AM. Interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Thomas’s name to St. Mark Parish.
