William "Billy" Green

Billy died suddenly on March 13, 2025.  A graduate of Harford Day School, New Hampton School (NHS), and CCBC, Billy excelled in math and science and most enjoyed working on the tech crew at the NHS theater.  A creative soul, Billy wrote poetry and developed unique ways to approach problem solving.  Billy was a devoted friend and would offer a helping hand to anyone who needed one.  Billy was charismatic, thoughtful, intelligent, and friendly.  He could speak with ease to anyone at any age about nearly any topic.  Billy was a happy go lucky child with an old soul.  As a child, you might see Billy doing the hula on top of my minivan, building with his many legos, playing on the floor with his great grandmother, swimming at fountain green pool, taking a “bisit” to Miss Allison’s house, or burying himself in the sand at the beach; he was the kind of child full of independence and the ability to entertain himself.  He had an invisible friend named Squeaky, who lived in the bricks of the fireplace.  He loved visiting his grandmother in Delaware and walking to the Marina in the neighborhood with his brother Georgie and other family members.

Billy was a playful Uncle who loved his nephews, Jasper and Cole, and his nieces, Makenna and Raylee.  In addition to his nephews and nieces, Billy is survived by his mother, father, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Billy’s brother Georgie predeceased Billy in 2015.  We are heartbroken and devastated, losing Billy leaves a massive hole in our family.  If you have any stories you would like to share about Billy, we would love to see them and read them.

Friends and family may gather at the Candle Light Funeral Home, Monday, March 24, 2025 from 5:00pm-9:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the Candle Light Funeral Home Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 11:00am.
