Zachary Addison Outland

Zachary Addison Outland ("Zack") passed away on Sunday August 15, 2021 in Bessemer, Alabama.  Zack was born on September 5, 1989 at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Zack was the oldest son of Addison Jay Outland, Jr and Susan Lee (Morsberger) Outland of Elkridge, Maryland.  Jay and Sue are both originally from Catonsville, MD and moved to Elkridge during the pregnancy with Zack.

Zack was homeschooled and graduated from Granite Classical Tutorial in 2007 where he played baseball for four years.  After high school he worked for Blue Jay Electric for seven years while pursuing his electricians license.  In 2014, Zack moved to Bessemer, Alabama and carved out a new life for himself.  He worked as a project manager for a few contractors but most recently worked for Birmingham Electric, working on projects at BHM Airport and the Mercedes Benz plant.  Zack purchased an older home in 2019 in Bessemer.

Zack loved music, the outdoors, camping and kayaking, sports and his two dogs, Kira and Kobie.

To know Zack was to love him.  He carried a light like none other.  Being in Zack's presence was always comforting - a person who you just wanted to be around.  He was quick to make everyone feel comfortable with an infectious personality and great smile.

He still had fond memories of three separate mission trips he took to the Dominican Republic where he helped build a church/school in a remote area called Pimentel, DR.

Zack is survived by his parents, grandmother Betty Ann Morsberger, brothers Matthew, Benjamin, and Tony, and sisters Julie Rush, Suzanne Conley, Tracy Holden, Sarah Boening and Imani Rodgers.

A private family memorial service will be held at Candlelight Funeral Home and a Celebration of Life will be announced for a later date.

The family has requested that donations be made to The Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center .
