Anne Lorraine Kernan, 91, a resident of Catonsville, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2022. She was born Anne Lorraine Grail in Baltimore, Maryland to Charles and Caroline Grail.

Anne was blessed with a large and loving family. She will be greatly missed by her seven loving children, Debra Gill, Jerome Kernan, Timothy Kernan, Jayne Lacy, Mary Patricia Connor, Catherine Whitney, Terri Westerlund as well as her loving son-in-laws, Tod Connor, Stephen Chostner, Tom Whitney and Patrick Gill. She was also the cherished grandmother of Patrick and Ryan Connor, Caroline and Benjamin Westerlund, Christopher Lacy and his wife Hanna, Daniel Lacy, Kelly Lacy, Patrick Tracy and his wife, Molly, Tyler Tracy and his wife, Lauren, Katie Wisniewski, and her husband, Dan. Anne is also survived by five great grandchildren.

Anne was adored and will be missed by her many friends and family. She was happiest spending quality time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She could often be found bowling on a league, a hobby she greatly enjoyed and excelled at. Anne graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory School, where she was a star athlete.

The family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital .

Family and friends may gather at the Candle Light Funeral Home, 1835 Frederick Rd. Catonsville, MD 21228 on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a Funeral Service taking place at 11:30 am. Interment will follow the funeral service at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 E. Padonia Rd. Timonium, MD 21093.
