Clara T. Pasko (nee Bertasavage), 90, died July 18 of pneumonia at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore. A resident of the Charlestown retirement community in Catonsville, she had lived in Baltimore and Catonsville most of her life. She was born in Minersville, Pennsylvania, the youngest of the eight children of Antanas (Anthony) and Rose (Bacenas) Bartusevicus (Bertasavage).
A deeply religious woman, she attended daily Mass at St William of York Parish and, later, at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel at Charlestown.
Clara and Joseph Pasko married on January 18, 1948 at St. Alphonsus Church in Baltimore. Joseph preceded her in death in 1985. They raised their two sons, William and John, in west Baltimore.
Clara found great joy in her family, her sons William J. Pasko and his wife Kathleen; CAPT John A. Pasko, USN Ret. and his wife Michele; her grandchildren: LCDR Joseph G. Pasko, USN, his wife Heather and their daughters Isla and Finley; Daniel N. Pasko, MD and his wife, Johanna, MD; Kaitlyn Keefe and her husband, LCDR Jake Keefe, USN.
Mrs. Pasko was the librarian at St. William of York Catholic School for over 40 years, retiring only when the school was closed in 2010. She was also known as an avid Bingo player, making friendships that lasted for many years.
Mrs. Pasko was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be at 10 a. m. followed a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21 at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel at Charlestown, 700 Maiden Choice Lane, Baltimore MD.
