Elaine Margaret Hoffman

Departed, on the 21st of January, 2019 – Elaine Margaret Hoffman – of complications from Leukemia and Cerebral Aneurisms.

Elaine was the loving daughter of John (Deceased) and Bernadette Hoffman, she is survived by her sisters Bernadette M Hoffman-Wild and her husband Lawrence Wild, and Julie Webb and her husband Alan Webb. She is preceded to Heaven by her sisters Kathleen Ann Hoffman and Anita Rose Hoffman. Elaine was also the beloved Aunt of her nieces Lara Nicolau and Mara Falbo-Wild and to her nephews Jake, Nicholas, & Hunter Webb. She was the Grand Aunt of Felicity Nicolau.

Elaine possessed a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Loyola Collage and a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Towson University She was studying for a degree and certification in Accounting at the time of her passing.

Elaine was a devoted teacher and preschool worker with numerous preschools and programs, a tax preparer for Jackson Hewitt, and an employee with Cracker Barrel, and a past employee, at Hecht’s, Trader Joe’s, and at Linens and Things.

Elaine was a lifelong member and active participant in the Maryland Junior Chamber of Commerce. A lifelong reader, she leaves behind an impressive collection of mystery novels, psychological thrillers, and fantasy stories which will soon thrill new readers as a donation to the Book Thing in Baltimore where they may grace the shelves of other devoted readers. Elaine was also a long-time participant in several local book clubs as well as one in Rehoboth Beach Delaware. She loved summers at the beach and trips to Hershey Park and Longwood Gardens. As a true Marylander Elaine loved Maryland crabs, the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens.

Elaine was an active Catholic and a member of Saint Benedict’s parish in Baltimore.

Rather than sending flowers the family strongly suggests the making of a donation to Saint Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church in Baltimore to assist them in the strong community assistance they provide to the people of Baltimore or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 's Maryland Chapter for their assistance in combating these diseases and providing support to the victims of these diseases and their families.
