Robin Lee Smith

Robin Lee Smith  (nee Sauerwald) died peacefully at home on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the age of 58 Robin is survived by her daughter, Jessica “Smith” Coates and son in law, Joseph Coates, Jr. of Catonsville, Maryland, her sister, Nancy Stanton, three step daughters Shelby, Sandy & Stacey Smith and three grandsons, Jackson, Peyton & Colton Coates. She is also survived by Edwin J Smith also of Catonsville. She is preceded in death by her parents Louis & Virginia Sauerwald and siblings Carol Richardson, Howard Sauerwald and Deborah Sansone of Catonsville, Maryland.

Robin was born on March 12, 1957 at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended Catonsville Senior High School. She also enjoyed a long and wonderful career as a waitress at Double T Diner in Catonsville, Maryland.

Robin’s viewing will be held at the Candle Light Funeral Home located at 1835 Frederick Road, Catonsville, Maryland 21228 on Tuesday January 19, 2016 from 4-7pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark Chapel on Wednesday January 20, 2016 at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Saint Alphonsus Cemetery on Old Court Road, Woodstock, Maryland 21163.  The reception will be held from 1:00-4:00 pm at Arbutus Town Hall, Arbutus, Maryland 21227.
