Rosalie Angela Hunt
August 19, 1940 – February 23, 2025
Rosalie Angela Hunt, 84 years old, passed away peacefully at her home in Ellicott City, Maryland on February 23, 2025, surrounded in love by her family.
Rosalie was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 19, 1940. She attended Forest Park High School and graduated from the University of Maryland, Dental Assistant Certification Program. In the early years of her career she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Morton Goldener. After raising her family, Rosalie spent 40 years as an award winning Real Estate agent for Caton Reality and for REMAX. Her successful professional life was built on hard work, her innate ability to genuinely connect with people and a passion for life. Her joy and grace, never more evident than when she was on the dance floor, a love ignited by ballet and tap dance lessons. She was part of the Baltimore Lithuanian Folk Dance Group Malunas and performed for years, locally, regionally and internationally. She took ballroom dance lessons as an adult, and danced at the Hollywood Ballroom Dance Center where she met her husband Russell. Rosalie and Russell, were award winning Ballroom Dancers, whose specialties were the Waltz, Fox Trot, Tango, Cha Cha and Hustle. Their moto was, “We never met a dance we didn’t like.” Their love of travel took them to ports around the world, as dance instructors for Royal Caribbean, Princess, Norwegian, Celebrity and Holland America Cruise Lines. She was a valued volunteer for the American Cancer Society and The Kristin Rita Strouse Foundation for Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention.
Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sister and friends sought her out for guidance, for wisdom and support in good times and in bad. She was a person of presence, love, and generosity. She gave tirelessly of herself and was most happy welcoming family and friends into her home, often warmed by bubbling pots of spaghetti sauce and pasta.
