It is with deep sorrow we announce that William Paul "Bill" Higgins passed away peacefully at the age of 81 at his home in Pasadena, MD on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024. Bill was born on December 3rd, 1942, in Baltimore, MD. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy (Baker) Higgins to whom he was married for over 57 years, his son Brian Higgins, daughter Tracey Higgins Kern (Leonard), daughter Jamie Higgins Reese (Jason) and his 5 grandchildren Alyssa, Madeline, Abigail, PJ, and Ashlee.
Bill grew up in Catonsville, MD with his parents Paul and Mary Higgins as well as his 7 siblings: Marnie, David, Christine, Patricia, Susan, Mark and Teresa. Bill is predeceased by his parents and youngest sister, Teresa.
At an early age, Bill fell in love with music to the sounds of Elvis Presley and The Beatles. That passion led him to learn how to play guitar and later open Bill's Music House in 1965. Bill enjoyed working alongside Nancy and his three children daily and treasured the friendships and relationships he built over the past 58 years in the music business. His interests didn't end with music, he also made time for many other hobbies including boating on the Magothy River, flying airplanes, riding motorcycles, classic cars and his ultimate favorite pastime - making memories with those he loved.
Losing Bill will leave a guitar shaped hole in the hearts of those who loved him. Please think of him whenever you hear your favorite song.
